Fundraising has a significant role in the completion of any iGEM project. Each team needs to adopt new and sophisticated techniques in approaching sponsors. Support from the parent institute and local government is the primary help a team can get. Based on the type of project, teams can apply for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from companies. Apart from these, teams can also apply for various grants explicitly meant for iGEM teams for meeting their sponsorship requirements.
